Ravindra Bharathi

Right in the heart of the city, Ravindra Bharati is almost a landmark. With a well-maintained garden, the auditorium has huge gates and compound walls within which a systematic parking arrangement is done.

This AC theater was built in 1964 with a capacity of 1,000 people including the balcony. The entrance of the hall, through the steps and the towering ornamented wooden doors, further lead to a statue of Rabindranath Tagore. The stage and green rooms are again well equipped and systematic. Apart from the main theater, Ravindra Bharati has a gallery and a conference hall on the 1st and the 2nd floors (mini theaters).
